On 25th-27th April 2023, the PrecisionTox project consortium, consisting of 15 partners, gathered in Birmingham, UK, to review progress and set priorities for the next stages of the project.
The meeting covered key topics such as:
- Advancements in comparative toxicology and molecular data production
- The use of computational tools like machine learning to identify biomarkers for chemical safety assessment
- Workshops and training sessions to build capacity among researchers
- Discussions about defining success and the project’s commitment to transparency and impactful outputs
- The integration of PrecisionTox methodologies with the EU’s chemicals strategy and their potential to transform regulatory toxicology
- A Stakeholder Advisory Group panel and an Ontology Jamboree, emphasizing stakeholder collaboration and data standardization
During the meeting, Leitat showcased its activities, including the participation in panel discussions for project publications and technical decisions
The consortium had the opportunity to attend the Ontology Jamboree, where participants collaborated on the development of standardized data sets.
