On November 4, 2024, the SOLO project consortium gathered in Sofia, Bulgaria, to align efforts in promoting sustainable soil management through participatory frameworks and actionable roadmaps.
The meeting covered key topics such as:
- Coordination strategies to strengthen collaboration among partners
- Communication efforts to enhance outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Operationalization of the Soil Mission Think Tanks, focusing on co-creating knowledge and identifying gaps across all nine Soil Mission objectives
- Analysis of soil health drivers, addressing land-use management challenges and decision-making processes
- Development of R&I roadmaps, integrating insights from Think Tanks, regional nodes, and stakeholder engagements
- Workshops on participatory methods, refining knowledge gaps and defining measurable KPIs for different European regions
Leitat played an active role in the meeting by:
- Presenting WP2 updates on the progress of the Soil Mission Think Tanks
- Conducting workshops to foster open discussions and refine the content of the Scoping Documents
- Hosting an open session for participants who could not attend in person
The consortium also participated in a cross-fertilization event, bringing together 60 participants, including consortium partners and key stakeholders. This four-day meeting provided an interactive space for collaboration, featuring Workshops and activities that encouraged engagement between, Think Tank members, Knowledge exchange sessions to share insights and strengthen synergies and Discussions on innovation across the project’s thematic areas.
